We have all been there at one point or another. We talk ourselves into a purchase of a poor product, a salesman does a good job on something you really do not need or for many people today, an internet scam gets their money. The slang term “you got hosed” pops into my head.
There is a company who has been “hosing” people for over thirty years, but in a good way. Pirtek, the company manufactures replacement hydraulic hose assemblies mainly at customer jobsites. Pirtek franchises operate brick and mortar stores but, most of their business is with the use of mobile service trucks. The trucks are dispatched to your location and they then service or repair your equipment.
Jim Lager an experienced businessman who at one time owned a hotel franchise and now owned five mobile tool franchises. Jim felt it was time in his life to expand with a franchise business which would help provide the income needed in reaching his goal for retirement. Already being in the mobile tool business, Mr. Lager understood the success of a service oriented business. Already owning mobile tool franchises which work as business to business models gave him great incite. With so many franchises now available Jim researched many possible franchise businesses, looking for the best fit and possible profit.
Pirtek seemed to answer all his questions with the right answers. The company is well-established at thirty years young, with training and a great strategic system and also a good franchise location available. Forward now almost four years and you find Jim Lager operating two Pirtek locations with ten service vans. Business is good in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Many people are getting “hosed” by Jim Lager and loving it.
